Welcome! There are significant moments in life that deserve to be captured, and I am passionate about capturing those moments through my paintings. A Jamaican born, American grown artist of the Caribbean diaspora, my particular brand of artistry is characterized by faces that reflect the distinctive blend of races and the tropical vistas found in the Caribbean.
I celebrate my Caribbean
roots and I paint people that reflect our distinctive blend of races, especially
the beautiful women who are a proud representation of the Jamaican motto, “Out
of many, one people.” My paintings feature warm jewel tones and exotic colors intended to evoke perceptions of sultry breezes and the lilting cadence of island music...reggae, calypso and steel drum.
Now that I reside in South Carolina, I am especially drawn to Charleston, where the Gullah culture and people are so similar to that of the Caribbean. It is an honor and a pleasure to share with you a few special moments in God's beautiful creation, seen through the eyes of my painting.
